Dark Plate Studio is committed to making the web accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We design and build with accessibility in mind, and we improve as we learn what isn’t working.
The site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including impairments to vision, hearing, mobility, and cognition.
An accessibility widget is available on every page (look for the small icon at the bottom of the screen). It lets you adjust the site to your needs without changing your browser settings:
The site is also designed to work with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and standard browser zoom up to 200%.
Accessibility is a continuous effort. We’re aware of the following gaps and are working on them:
We use a combination of automated tools, keyboard-only navigation testing, and manual review with screen readers to evaluate accessibility. We also rely on visitor feedback — your reports help us catch issues we miss.
If you encounter a barrier on darkplate.studio — an image without alt text, a form you can’t navigate, a link that doesn’t announce itself properly, anything — please tell us. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days.

When reporting an issue, please include the page URL, the type of device and browser you’re using, any assistive technology involved, and a brief description of what went wrong.
Some content on the site (embedded videos, social-media widgets, third-party tools) is provided by services we don’t control. We do our best to choose providers that meet accessibility standards, but we can’t guarantee the accessibility of every third-party element.
This statement reflects the current state of accessibility on the site. As we make improvements or identify new issues, we’ll update the page; the “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly.
